The Negev Museum of Art is pleased to present the first museal solo show of Nirit Takele – one of the prominent artists in contemporary Israeli painting. Takele’s paintings speak simultaneously in the singular and the plural, flowing from the personal towards the social and cultural, and informed by her identity as a member of the Beta Israel community. The exhibition Nirit Takele: Chromatic unfolds a comprehensive survey of Takele’s work through a selection of paintings that represent her distinctive artistic language and the range of themes she explores in her art.
